WTH is "UnMommy"?
It's ok, we understand... You don't get out much. Let's start with what UnMommy is NOT. UnMommy is NOT your typical mommy website. We don't sugar coat things around here, and we don't expect you to either. UnMommy began as a small forum almost a full year ago, and has since grown to the point that we've changed names, twice, and had to move on to bigger and better software to meet our growing needs. UnMommy, as it is, has been online since July of 2007 so we are still on the "ground floor" so to speak. We'd love to have you join us on our forums, but please read the TOS carefully. If you are easily offended, or don't like what you see as a guest (Guests have limited access to our forums) you probably wouldn't fit in anyway. Stick around, though. The purpose of Unmommy
You have just became a mother, congratulations. Or maybe you've been a Mom for a while. We've all had thoughts about the changes that are taking place in our lives as we embark on the wonderful journey of parenthood. Maybe you traded in your husbands hot rod for a bigger car, or even *gasp* the forbidden mini-van, you may still be looking in your closet staring at your pre pregnancy clothes just waiting for that baby fat to miraculously melt away while you inhale your meals.
While we may be Moms, tackling breast feeding, walking, crawling,
rolling over, cooking and cleaning, while still finding the time to
take care of our husbands manly needs we are in fact still women.
Being a mom doesn't mean that we have to give up quite everything we
enjoyed before, and just because we gave birth to a child does not
mean that all of a sudden we are perfect. We still get upset at
life, we scream, we swear and we bitch and moan.
From all this came another birth, the birth of unmommy. A place
where we can go and still be human. Park the mini van, take off your
mom jeans and be prepared to be yourself. This is the place all moms
have been waiting for. No more watching what you say not only around
your children but online as well, here you can feel free to let
loose, bitch, cry, laugh and not hold back. Unmommy is the place for
the realistic mom. A place where you can, in fact say FUCK and not
